BOAJ In-Home & Community Support (IHCS)
In-Home and Community Support (IHCS) is a PA Medicaid Waiver service that provides direct, hands-on assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes and within their communities. Our trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work side-by-side with participants to build skills, promote independence, and support daily living — all grounded in each person's individual goals and support plan.Personal Care & Daily Living
Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) — including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management — provided in a respectful, person-centered manner.
Household Management
Support with home upkeep tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and maintaining a safe and organized living environment so participants can focus on what matters most to them.
Skill Building & Independence
Goal-directed support to develop functional life skills — from budgeting and cooking to public transportation — helping participants gain greater autonomy over time.
Health & Safety Monitoring
DSPs provide watchful support to ensure participants' health and safety at home, including coordination with healthcare providers and implementation of behavior support plans when applicable.
