BOAJ Community Participation Support (CPS)
Community Participation Support (CPS) is a PA Medicaid Waiver service that helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities actively participate in their communities. Unlike IHCS (which focuses primarily on the home), CPS is centered on engagement outside the home — connecting participants to meaningful activities, social relationships, volunteer work, and community settings that reflect their interests and choices.Community Access & Outings

Volunteerism & Civic Engagement
Support to identify and engage in volunteer opportunities and community roles that align with the individual's strengths, values, and career interests.
Social Skill Development
Coaching and real-world practice to develop interpersonal skills, navigate social expectations, and build lasting relationships within the community.
Pre-Vocational Exploration
Exposure to workplace environments, job shadowing, and vocational activities that help participants explore employment interests and build readiness for competitive integrated employment.
