Founded to close a gap in care
BOAJ was built from personal experience. Our founder saw firsthand how hard it was for families to find dependable, person-centered support for their loved ones with IDD — and decided to do something about it.
We opened our doors as a licensed PA Medicaid Waiver provider committed to one principle: that every individual, regardless of their disability, deserves the chance to live, work, and participate fully in their community.

Our Direct Support Professionals are carefully matched to each participant and trained to go beyond task completion. They build genuine relationships, encourage independence, and show up consistently — because trust is earned over time, not paperwork.

PA Medicaid Waiver certified and accountable
We hold ourselves to a high standard. BOAJ is a licensed provider under Pennsylvania's Medicaid Waiver programs, which means we meet rigorous state requirements for staffing, training, documentation, and participant rights.
Every DSP completes PA-required clearances — State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse — along with ongoing training in person-centered practices, health and safety, and participant rights. Compliance isn't a checkbox to us; it's how we protect the people we serve.
